The wife of George was Mary Spall, by whom he had five children. He came to the United States in 1856 and settled in Trenton, Oneida county. Here he remained two years and then went to Russia and settled on the farm now owned by Jacob. Here he remained until his death in 1882. The first wife of George Spall died in 1867, and his second wife in 1887. Jacob Spall was sixteen years of age when he came with his parents to America. In 1867 he married Lana Smeary, by whom he had six children: John, George, Henry, Jacob, Fred and Willie, all of whom are living. Mr. Spall has two hundred acres of land and keeps a large dairy.
