Author: Hardin & Willard

Spohn, Frank, Herkimer, was born in the town of Columbia, and educated in the 
schools of this vicinity, after which for some time he clerked in Ilion.  In 
1888 he established his present grocery store in Herkimer, which has proved a 
decided success.  He gives employment to three men and delivers goods to all 
parts of this town.  He married Miss Cora Johnson of Columbia, and has one 
child, a boy, Raymond Spohn.  Mr. Spohn's ancestors three generations back 
settled in Herkimer town, in which vicinity the family has since lived, being 
identified with local issues and institutions in a marked degree.
