In 1888 he established his present grocery store in Herkimer, which has proved a decided success. He gives employment to three men and delivers goods to all parts of this town. He married Miss Cora Johnson of Columbia, and has one child, a boy, Raymond Spohn. Mr. Spohn's ancestors three generations back settled in Herkimer town, in which vicinity the family has since lived, being identified with local issues and institutions in a marked degree.
