He is a native of Salisbury and his father, W. J. Thompson, was one of the substantial farmers of that township. Mr. Thompson owns 165 acres of land and a dairy of forty-five cows. His father died in 1S85 and his mother in 1891, the former at the time of his death being the owner of seven farms.
