He raised four sons and three daughters, and died on the farm in 1822. John A. Ward was born October 17, 1792, served in the War of 1812; he was a Whig and a Republican. He died in 1857, aged sixty-five, his wife died in 1869, aged seventy-five years. They had seven children: Maria (deceased), Levi (deceased), Liza Ann (deceased), David, Hiram, Ephraim and Daniel are now living. Hiram lived with his parents and took charge of the farm which he now owns, buying out the other heirs. In politics he is a Republican. He married, December 31, 1857, Marinda Bronner, daughter of Frederick and Eliza (Shaul) Bronner. Her father served as supervisor, was a Republican. They had eleven children. Her grandfather, Frederick Bronner, was a pioneer of Stark. Mr.and Mrs. Hiram Ward have had two children: Charles H. and Libbie M.
