Author: Hardin & Willard

Wholahan, John J, Winfield, who has been over overseer of the poor for three
terms, was born in Clinton, Oneida county, November 26, 1854, and came to 
Winfield in June, 1879. He married Nellie L. Wilcox, by whom be has two 
children: Olive M. and John W. John J. is a son of Michael Wholahan, who 
settled in Clinton about 1846. His wife is a daughter of Elijah Wilcox, a 
native of this town, who was a son of Hezekiah, one of the first settlers.
