Wooster, Daniel P. B., Newport, a native of Newport, is a son of Sherman and 
Cornelia (Smith) Wooster. His mother died in 1845. His father was a son of 
Sherman and Sallie (Buel) Wooster, who settled in Newport in 1804. Both the 
father and grandfather were Universalists in religious views, and Democrats in 
politics. Daniel Wooster was born February 29, 1840. He married Caroline Kuhn, 
daughter of Gotlieb and Mary Kuhn, September 1, 1868.
