This Indenture Made this first Day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eight Between Havins Hall of the town of Norway of the first part and Sheffield Kinyon of Fairfield in the County of Herkimer and State of New York of the second part witnesseth that the Said party of the first part for and in consideration of the just sum of seven hundred & thirty two dollars and eighty six cents lawful money of the United States received to the full satisfaction of the said party of the first part hath granted bargained sold and doth hereby grant bargained sell aline (sic) and Convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs executors and administrators and assigns for ever all that certain piece or parcel of land situate & lying in the town of Norway in lot Number fifteen in the Second allotment of the royal grant bounded as follows beginning at the Northeast Corner of Lot Number fifteen at Terry Dormon northwest corner and runs thence west to the Jersey field road and to the Northeast corner of John Halls Lot thence South on said road to the place where the State road crosses said lot number fifteen and Southerly on said road until it comes to the west line of said Dormons lot and from thence North by said Lot to the first mentioned bounds To have and to hold the above bargained premises which is estimated to be fifty five acres of Land and the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Sheffield Kinyon his heirs and assigns forever and to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the Sheffield Kenyon his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part for himself his heirs Executors and administrators Doth Convenant and agree with the said party of the Second part his heirs and assigns that he the said party of the first part is actually Seased of the hereby granted premises in his own right and has full power and Lawful authority to Dispose of the same in man[n]er and form herein written And the said party of the first part Doth hereby agree and covenant to Warrant and Defend the above bargained premises unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against any person or persons Lawfully Claiming the same or any part thereof from by or under him the said party of the first part or any other person whatsoever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written Havins Hall An erasure in the eighteenth line from the top and the word road in the twenty third line wrote on an erasure the words of the second part on the top of the fifteenth line interlined before signed. – Signed Sealed & Delivered in presents of Jno Penny Preserved Hall On the second day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Eight appeared before my Jon Pinny to me known and being sworn saith he is well acquainted with the named Harvins Hall and that he is the same person who executed this deed and the said Havin Hall himself acknowledged that he executed the within Deed and there appearing no material Erasures or interlineations in the same I do permit the same to be Recorded Andrew A.
