All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ny/nyfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Ronald Reid rreid21@cox.net December 22, 2012, 8:49 pm Fairfield, Herkimer county Written: December 9, 1807 Recorded: August 14, 1821 New York Land Records, Herkimer County, Volume 14, page 237 Date Written: December 9, 1807 Date Recorded: August 14, 1821 Land in Fairfield Grantor: Polly Rice Grantee: Sheffield Kinyon This Indenture made the ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seven between Polly Rice of the town of Fairfield County of Herkimer and State of New York of the first part and Sheffield Kinyon of said Fairfield of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred Dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and do by these presents gratn bargain sell remise release aline and confirm unto the said party of the first part his heirs and assigns forever all that farm pease or parsel of land in Lot number Twenty in the First allotment of the royal grant beginning at the northwest corner of Lot number six in said allotment runs thence East by said Lot number six to the highway thence north on said highway to said Kinyons Land thence west to the Canada Creek and from thence down the stream thereof to the place of beginning containing ten acres of Land. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainders & remainders rents & issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest and claim of the said party of the first part is hereby conveid (sic) to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns for ever and the said party of the first part Doth covenant and agree with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that is to say that she the said party of the first part is actually in her own right seased of the hearby granted premises and has good right full power and Lawful athority to dispose of the same as above specified and doth hearby grant the same to the said party of the second part to his own use benefit and behoof and the said party of the first part do hereby covenant and agree to warrant and Defend the above granted premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against all claims of any person Lawfully Claiming the same by from or under her the said party of the first part or any other person. – In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year first above written Polly Rice Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of Attest William Reynolds, John Comins Herkimer County SS – On the 17th day of June 1808, before me Westel Willoughby Junior one of the Judges of Herkimer Com.
