Libeus Armstrong, a brother to that cousin that was at our house last fall, is visiting at our home.  He came here Sat eve on his return from an assn of Congregational Ministers held in Madison County.  He gave a lecture last night at the church on Capital Punishment.  He has been a very smart man and still remarklably so for a man of his age.   Additional Comments: My Ezra Holmes lived in Danube, Herkimer County, New York. Transcribed by Laura Buckmaster [My note: Libeus or Lebbeus ARMSTRNG served from Vermont in the Revolutionary War 1775-1783. He was Ensign of the 2nd Regiment of Militia, 2nd Company in Bennington, VT, on May 28, 1778.]  File at: http://files.usgwarchives.org/ny/herkimer/history/letters/personal96gms.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
