She had entered the hospital ten days previous. She was born here January 4, 1926, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Longstaff, 520 Frances street. She leaves her parents and two sisters, Jeanne and Barbara. Reta was a sweet winsome child, and a great favorite. Exceptionally bright she could talk long before she could walk and her ability coupled with her sweetness and charm endeared her to all who knew her. She attended the kindergarten of the Reformed Church Sunday School. Many friends will extend sympathy to the family in their sad bereavement. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home, Rev. T. W. Prins officiating, and burial in Oak HIll Cemetery. [This is from an old scrapbook, the date penciled on it is 1930 Apr. My guess is that is is from the Evening Telegram newspaper, published in Herkimer, NY.]
