Boyce Deceased TO THE SURROGATE'S COURT OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON The Petition of Sarah A. Boyce of the town of Henderson in said county, Respectfully Showeth: That (?)is [illegible].. Monroe D. Boyce town of Henderson in said county, deceased. That the said Monroe D. Boyce departed this life on the 20th day of July 1898 in the town of Henderson in said county, and died intestate. That the said deceased left no Will, according to the best knowledge, information and belief of your petitioner. That your petitioner has, to the best of her ability, estimated and ascertained the value of the personal property and real property of which the said deceased died possessed, and that the said personal property does not exceed in value the sum of about $700 and that the said real estate does not exceed in value the sum of about $4600. That the said intestate left kindred entitled to his estate, whose names and places of residence are as follow, and none other or others, viz: Your petitioner, Widow, Henderson NY Amy L. That your petitioner further showeth that the said intestate, at or immediately previous to his death, was an in habitant of the County of Jefferson,, and died leaving personal property therein, That your petitioner is of full age, and that she is informed and believes that the said Surrogate's Court of said County has sole and exclusive power to grant Letters of Administration of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of said intestate. She therefore prays that such letters may be granted to her and to Adelbert A. Scott Dated March 18th 1898 Sarah A Boyce KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we Sarah A. Boyce, Adelbert A. Scott, W.E. Boyce and 2nd Surety E.C. Sawyer are held and firmly bound unto the People of the State of New York, in the sum of Fourteen Hundred dollars, current money of said State to be paid to the said people; to which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves and each of us, our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
