First, I give and bequeath to my son Peter Keohane, the sum of one hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my estate within one year after my decease. Second, I given and bequeath to my son John Keohane the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my estate within 30 days after he shall attain the age of twenty one years. Third, I give to my beloved wife Mary Keohane the support of herself at the house I now occupy, as long as she and my son Patrick Keohane agree, but when they fail to agree, she is to vacate the house and to receive from my estate one hundred dollars per year as long as she may remain my widow in lieu of divorce. Fourth, I give and bequeath to my son Patrick Keohane the residue of my estate after paying the aforementioned legacies and subject to the conditions herein before and hereinafter written Viz. He shall keep support and maintain, and send to school all my minor children treating them as a father should, until they shall become of age, and shall give to all my daughters a home as long as they remain single. Further that the said Patrick Keohane shall not sell the farm on which I now live during the minority of any of my children or while my wife remains my widow. I do herein further devise that if my son Patrick Keohane chooses not to accept this my will, with the conditions thereof, there my executor shall pay out of my estate to the said Patrick Keohane the amounts of money he has paid toward the farm I now occupy, and the residue of my estate shall be placed in the hands of my wife Mary Keohane subject to the conditions herein named until my youngest child becomes of age or she ceases to become my widow , when it shall be divided equally among my children. I do nominate and appoint my dear friend John Reardon as the sole executor of this my last will and testament. And I charge him to see to it that the conditions thereof are faithfully executed. In witness whereof here unto I set my hand and seal and publish and decree this to be my last will and testament in presence of the witnesses named below, this twelfth day of August in the year of our lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty seven.
