The last will & Testament of Augustus Crandall.

I Augustus Crandall aforesaid of the town of Brookfield County of Madison &
state of New York, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being
of sound mind & memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and
publish this my last will & Testament in manner & form following:

First I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Charlotte Crandall the entire use
& profits of all my estate both real & personal during her natural life.

I give and bequeath after my decease & the decease of my beloved wife to my
son Jared B. Crandall fifty dollars.

I give, after my decease & the decease of my said wife, all of the remainder
of my estate, both real & personal to be equally divided between my three sons
& three daughters & the children of my deceased daughter Phidelia Brown, that
is, my property shall be divided into seven equal parts or shares & my son
Welcome B. Crandall shall have one of the shares and my son Jared B. Crandall
shall have one of the shares, and my daughter Demaris Coon shall have one of
said shares, and my daughter Phoebe Burdick shall have one of said shares and
my daughter Cynthia Crandall shall have one of said shares & my grandsons the
children of Phidelia Brown aforesaid, viz. George R. Brown, Eli P. Brown
& Andrew B. Brown, shall have one of said shares to be equally divided between
them.

I hereby constitute my son Jared B. Crandall & Wait Clark executors of this my
last will & testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.  In
witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this eighth day of October
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty-seven.

Augustus his X mark Crandall

Signed sealed published & declared by the above named Augustus Crandall to be
his last will & testament in the presence of us who have herunto subscribed
our names as witnesses by the request & in the presence of the testator.
