In the name of God Amen.  I Jabes Sweet of the town of Brookfield, County of
Madison & State of New York, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life &
being of sound & perfect memory (Blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make
& publish this my last will & testament in manner & form following (that is to
say) first I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Rachel Sweet all the stock
which I possess at my decease & likewise the use of one third of all my real
estate so long as she remains my widow.  I further give & devise to my Son
David Sweet his heirs and assigns for ever (in addition to what I have before
given him) one acre & forty four rods of land being part of Lot No. fifteen in
the Town of Brookfield , County & State aforesaid, being the piece of land
enclosed near his now dwelling house & on which his buildings now stand.  I
also give & devise unto my two Sons Joshua Sweet and Samuel Sweet their heirs
and assigns forever all that certain piece or parcel of Land being part of Lot 
No. fifteen in the town County & State aforesaid and bounded as follows (viz)
on the north by land owned by Varnum Green, on the East by land owned by
Thomas Benjamin, on the South by the piece of land I have herein given to my
son David & by the highway running from my house east and & on the west by the
highway running from my house north to be divided equally between them the 
buildings my son Samuel has made on the above described land to be his
property being put there by There are 3 daughters Hannah Risley, Mary Moore
and susann my consent before the date of this testament.  I also give and
devise unto my two sons Jonathan Sweet & Charles Sweet their heirs & assigns
forever all the remaining lands or tenements together with the buildings and
appurtenances thereunto belonging (located by and being in the town County 
& State aforesaid & being a part of the lot herein above described) which I
possess to be divided equally between them.  I also give & bequeath to my
three daughters Mary Moore, Hannah Risley & Susannah Sweet the sum of One
hundred dollars to be divided equally between them which said legacies I will
& order to be paid by my Sons Jonathan Sweet & Charles Sweet equally (out of
the portion I have herein above given to them) to the said respective legatees
within two years after my decease and I hereby appoint and constitute my son
Jonathan Sweet sole administrator of this my last will & testament hereby
revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set 
my hand & seal the seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred & fourteen.
