     Aug. 8, 1832: Charles Goff of Rush, Monroe Co., New York, deposes that he 
enlisted in July 1775 at Colchester and served over five months as private in 
Captain Abraham Tyler's Company in Col. Huntington's Regiment. In July, 1776, 
he enlisted at Colchester and served nine months in Col. Wyllys' Regiment, 
Captain Hyde's Company.  They marched to New York, and he was serving under 
Capt. Henry Champion when the latter assumed that rank.  In Mar. or Apr., 1777 
he enlisted and served for two months under Lieut. David Smith, the captain 
being sick.  He was born in Chatham, Conn., Nov. 3, 1758.  His first wife (name 
not given) died Jan. 17, 1818.
     Pension granted August 8, 1832, at which time he was living in Rush, New 
York.  He died Oct. 13, 1832 in Rush.      
     Comfort Goff of Henrietta, Monroe Co., New York, deposed that his brother, 
Charles Goff, testified as to Charles' service.  
     Included is a copy of the will of Charles Goff of Rush, dated Oct. 8, 
1832.  He left to his daughter Deborah Preston twenty-five dollars; to daughter 
Hannah Remington, twenty-five dollars; to daughter Esther Allen, in addition to 
what I have already given her, four dollars and eighty-two cents; to daughter 
Betsey Tupper, twenty-five dollars; to daughter Asenath Brainard, twenty-five 
dollars.
To wife Anna, a comfortable support and maintenance during her lifetime.  To 
son Charles W. Goff the remainder of both real and personal estate, he to be 
Executor.
