N.Y., Sat. Feb. 23, 1991 page 6C J. LEON GOYETTE, Real estate agent J. Leon Goyette, a former area real estate agent, died Jan. 31 at a nursing home in Overland Park, Kan. He was 85 and had lived in Kansas since 1986, said his brother, Bert, of Perinton. Mr. Goyette headed Lee Goyette Realty for 25 years. He started the business from his home, then on Landing Road in Brighton, and later moved it to Trowbridge Trail in Pittsford. He retired about 1970, his brother said. Before becoming involved in real estate, Mr. Goyette worked for a personal finance company in Rochester and in Oswego, Oswego County. He had also held a job as an auto salesman. During World War II, Mr. Goyette worked with Consolidated Tool Co. in Rochester. A Rochester native, Mr. Goyette lived most of his life in Rochester's eastern suburbs, including Brighton and Fairport. He graduated from Fairport High School and attended Canisius College and the former McKechnie-Lunger School of Commerce in Rochester. Along with his brother, he is survived by his wife, Arleen; a daughter, Patricia G. Erikson of Overland Park, Kan.; a son J. Douglas of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Bert of Fairport and Bob of Honeyoe, Ontario County; two sisters G. Helen Wilkinson of Penfield and Frances Essom of East Rochester, six grandchildren. Leon Goyette, who died Jan. 31, 1991, in Overland Park, Kan. He was 85 years old and formerly of Fairport, Brighton, Pittsford. Mr. Goyette was Born Nov. 23, 1906, in Rochester. He was a graduate of Fairport High School and the former McKechnie-Lunger School of Commerce in Rochester. He attended Canisius College. He operated Lee Goyette Realtor for 25 years. In 1936, he married Arleen Bramen. The couple lived on Landing Road in Brighton and Trowbridge Trail in Pittsford before moving to Fairport. The couple moved to Overland Park, Kan., in 1986. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter, Patricia G. Erikson of Overland Park, Kan.; a son, J. Douglas Goyette of Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers, Bert Goyette of Fairport and Bob of Honeyoe; two sisters, Helen Wilkinson of Penfield and Frances Essom of East Rochester; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
