The Daily News, Batavia, N.Y., June 7, 1918
	Bergen, June 7. - John McCormick, a well-known and respected farmer of 
Riga, died this morning at 2 o'clock, aged 80 years.  He had been ill about a 
year.  He was a native of Ireland and had resided on the farm on which he died 
about 25 years.  Besides his wife, whose maiden name was Jane Keenan, he leaves 
four daughters, Miss Katherine McCormick of Riga, Mrs. Joseph Darby of Bergen, 
Miss Margaret McCormick of Rochester and Mrs. John Darby of Sweden, and three 
sons, Patrick and Edward of Riga and John of the aviation camp at Morrison, 
Va.  The funeral will be held from St. Vincent de Paul's church, Churchville, 
on Monday morning.
