The submittor has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ************************************************************************ PAPPERT -- Richard A., 69, died July 18, 1999 surrounded by his family., He was born in Rochester, NY December 30, 1929 and moved to San Diego in 1958 after earning a Ph.D. degree in Physics from Cornell University. He worked 26 years for the Navy as a Theoretical Physicist in Point Loma until his retirement in 1991 when travel and tennis with friends became his passion. He was a loving husband to Anna Marie for 43 years. A supportive and devoted father of 6 children: Rosemarie (Bruce) Lambert, Stephen (Juanita) Pappert, Theresa (Troy) Kloefkorn, David (Belia) Pappert, Edward Pappert, and Diane (Thomas) Squillaro. He had 7 grandchildren whom he adored: Shane, Sabrina, Tina, Joseph, Ariel, Julianne and Lauren. Also survived by his loving cousin Earl and best friend, Art Fischer. A memorial service will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Point Loma Saturday, July 24, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lymphoma Research Foundation of America, 8800 Venice Bl., Suite 207, Los Angeles, CA 90034.
