Mrs. Hugh Ratigan, one of the oldest and best known residents of the town of Riga, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Schur, one mile west of this place, yesterday afternoon, after an illness lasting several months. Mrs. Ratigan, whose maiden name was Bridget Drury, was born in Ireland, 61 years ago, and she came to this country when a young girl. She had resided in the town of Riga for 44 years. She was one of the oldest members of St. Vincent de Paul;s Catholic Church in Churchvile. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Wm. B. Ratigan of Rochester, Francis A. Ratigan of Montello, Nev., and J. L. Ratigan of this place, and one daughter, Mrs. John Schur of this town; also one brother, Patrick Drury of West Bergen and two sister, Mrs. Wm. Garigan of Churchville and Mrs. Weber of Kansas, and six grandchidren.. The funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. John Schur Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock and from St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Church. Interment at St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Cemetery. Bridget parents were Patrick Drury and Anna Murray or Maurix, both from Ireland.
