She was a beloved great grandmother of eight, grandmother of three and mother of two sons. She was born in Rochester, NY in 1902 and resided for many years in Scotia, NY. In 1955 she moved with her husband Norman to San Diego and resided here 44 years until her death. She was a member of Mission Valley 1st. United Methodist Church and devoted member of the Challenger Sunday School Class during that time. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Norman who passed away in 1971. She is survived by her sons Richard and his wife Ruth of Vista, CA and Jay and wife Joyce of Memphis, TN, grandchildren Jaquie Waller and husband Tom of Churchville, MD, Cecily Robinson of El Cajon, CA and Brian Robinson and wife Carlee of Lemon Grove, CA. She took pleasure in eight great grandchildren Amy, John, and Claire of Churchville, MD, Richard, Christopher and George of El Cajon, CA and Rebecca and Rachel of Lemon Grove, CA. Viewing will be at 1st United Methodist Church Wed. March 17th 1 to 2 p.m. with Services to follow conducted by Chaplain Walter B. Clayton, USN Ret. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Greenwood Memorial Park San Diego.
