First I give and devise to my Son Peter all that tract of land situated in the Village of Mumford, Town of Wheatland and County and State aforesaid known as Village Lot Number Eight in Section E. Second I give and devise to my Son Peter aforesaid, his heirs as follows. To his son Robert S. Thompson Fifty Dollars and to his Daughter Isabell Jane Thompson One Hundred Dollars and to his son Willard Thompson Fifty Dollars, which said several sums of money I direct and order to be paid to the said ? ? as soon as expedient after my decease. Third I give and devise my Daughter Betsy Phelps five Dollars which said money I direct to be paid as soon as called for after my decease. And Lastly: I give and devise all the rest and residue and remainder of my real estate, together all my personal estate goods and chattels what nature and kind so ever to my Son Peter Thompson. This my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. I hereby appoint John A. McLean, Donald McNaughton sole executers of my last Will and Testament. In Witness Where of I have hereunto set my hand seal this Twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one. Sarah (X her mark) Thompson LS. The within instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date there of signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Sarah Thompson saw as for her last Will and Testament in presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of such other have subscribed our names as witness there to. William S. Martin, Residing at Wheatland in Monroe County Hugh Christie, Residing in Wheatland, Monroe County (1) Dollar (1) U.S. Inter Revenue Probate of Will ? That on the day of the date here of the last Will and Testament of Sara Thompson late of the town of Wheatland in said County deceased/being the foregoing written instrument was duly proved before W.P. Chase, Esq. Surrogate of the said County according to law as a Will & for the last testament of the Real and Personal estate of said deceased, which said last Will and Testament and the proofs and examinations taken there on are recorded in his office. In Testimony Where of Then Surrogate of the said County has hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal of office this 17th day of October 1864. (signed) W.P. Chase, Surrogate County of Monroe Surrogate Court In the matter of proving the Will of Sarah Thompson Deceased County of Monroe fs. William S. Martin and Hugh Christie of the town of Wheatland in the County of Monroe aforesaid, being duly sworn do depose and say that they are subscribing witnesses to the last Will and Testament of Sarah Thompson late of the town of Wheatland in the County of Monroe aforesaid deceased. And these deponents further say that the said Sarah Thompson, the said testator, did in the presence of these deponents, subscribe her name at the end of the instrument, which is now shown and exhibited to these deponents, which purports to be the last will and Testament of the said Sarah Thompson and which bears date on the 20th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one. And these deponents further say that said testator did at the said time of subscribing her name as aforesaid at the end of said Will, declare the said instrument is subscribed and now exhibited LS be her last Will and Testament and these deponents did there upon subscribe their names at the end of the said Will attesting witnesses there to in the presence and at the request of the said testator. And these deponents further say that at the said time when the said testator so subscribed her name to the said last Will as aforesaid and at the time of these deponents subscribing their names as attesting witnesses there to as aforesaid, the said testator was of sound mind and memory of full age to execute a Will and was not under any restraint. And that the said Will now appears in respects as when so executed without any alterations whatsoever. W.S. Martin Hugh Christie Subscribed and Sworn this 17th day of October 1864 before me.
