I, James Malloch, a farmer of the town of Wheatland, Monroe County, N.Y. being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say: First After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth Malloch the use of Four thousand ($4000.00) Dollars during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my sons, John C and Duncan and Edison. To my daughter Jane C, I give One thousand dollars to be paid at my death and to Mary my daughter One thousand dollars to be paid at the my death and to Margaret Four hundred Dollars to be paid at my death and I also give to my son John C my watch. I give and devise to my wife Elizabeth aforesaid her heirs and assigns all my real property in the town of Wheatland, County of Monroe now occupied by me as a homestead together with all the personal property thereon and all the hereditaments and appurtenances belonging thereunto or in any wise appertaining to have to hold in fee simple. All the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate I devise and bequeath to be equally divided between my three sons, John C, Duncan and Edison. Likewise I make constitute and appoint Elizabeth Malloch and Stephen Bennett to be executors of the my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the Twenty-second day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.
