Will Book 30, Page 95 Written: January 17 1873 Recorded: July 29 1881 Record of Will I, Josephus Cornelius Angolus DeNeve of the City of Rochester, County of Monroe and State of New York, in view of the uncertainty of life, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me heretofore made. FIRST: I give and bequeath to the two daughters of my deceased son, Peter Hendirk, whose names I do not now recollect, but who are now, as I understand in Holland, the sum of one hundred dollars, each. SECOND: I give and bequeath to the Son of my deceased son John Pieter, now living somewhere in the state of California, as is supposed, but whose christian name I do not recollect, the sum of twenty-five dollars. THIRD: I give and bequeath my daughter Maria Pietronella wife of Abraham Devos of the said City of Rochester, the sum of two hundred dollars. FOURTH: I give and bequeath to Mrs. Emily Widdowson, wife of Thomas Widdowson, of the City of Rochester, the sum of one hundred dollars. FIFTH: I give and bequeath to my son William Peter, now or late of the City of New York, the sum of twenty-five dollars. LASTLY: I devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of all my property, real and personal, of every name and kind, and wheresoever situated, to my sons Cornelius Pieter and Anthony Pieter DeNeve, and my daughters Johanna Joaina Pieternella, wife of Bastian De Plaa, Jacoba Wilhelmina Pieternella, wife of Jan Marinus Van Derhaven all of said City of Rochester, and my daughter Wilhelmina Pieternella Johanna wife of Jacoba Mahusen of the town of Webster in said county of Monroe, equally, share and share alike. I nominate and appoint my said sons Cornelius Peter and Anthony Peter De Neve executors of my last Will and Testament, and I direct that they shall not be required to give any security on taking out letters testamentary. After payment of all my just debts, and funeral expenses, I direct my said executors to pay the above specific legacies at as early a period, after my decease as they can conveniently, and within three months, if possible. I direct my said executors to fit up the lot at Mount Hope, where I shall be buried, and place suitable head stones at my own and the grave of my deceased wife, as soon after my decease as the same can conveniently be done. In witness whereof, I, Joseph Cornelius Angolus DeNeve have to this my last Will and Testament, consisting of one half sheet of paper, subscribed my name this 17th day of January 1873. J.C.A. De Neve The above Instrument consisting of one half sheet of paper was subscribed by the above named Joseph Cornelius Angolus De Neve in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and we at his request, subscribed our names as subscribing witnesses, he at the same time declaring to us the above Instrument to be his last Will and Testament. DeNeve of the City of Rochester do make publish and declare this first codicil to my Last Will and Testament heretofore made. Item First: I hereby recall and revoke the legacies to my daughter Maria Pieternella, wife of Abraham Devos, mentioned in Item Third of my last Will and Testament; and I also recall and revoke the legacy to Mrs. Emily Widdowson mentioned in Item Fourth of my said Last Will and Testament. Item Second: I hereby amend item entitled "Lastly", after Item fifth, and make my daughter Maria Pieternella, Wife of Abraham Devos, a co-residuary legatee and give and bequeath to her, with the other legatees therein named, share and share alike. Item Third: I constitute and appoint Anthony Peter DeNeve, Trustee to receive and hold in his hands the legacy given to my daughter Wilhelmina Pieternella Johanna, Wife of Jacob Mahusen; and authorize him, said Trustee, to pay over the same from time to time as in his judgment said legatee may need. Item Fourth: I give and bequeath to said Anthony Peter DeNeve my gold watch and appurtenances as a memento of me. Item Fifth: I hereby authorize and empower my executors Cornelius Peter and Anthony Peter DeNeve mentioned and described in my said Last Will and Testament to sell and convey all and any real estate of which I may die seized and possessed and to execute and deliver deeds thereof to the purchaser or purchasers. In witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the 23 day of June 1877 J.C.A.
