Kropp RECORD OF WILL In the Name of God, Amen! I, Helmuth Krapp of the City of Rochester, County of Monroe and State of New York, of the age of sixty four years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the manner following, viz: After all my lawful debts and the expenses for my funeral are paid and discharged I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Mary, the use, possession, proceeds and income of and from all my personal and real estate of which I am now seized, and possessed and of which I may hereafter become seized, and possessed in any manner whatsoever, to be had used and enjoyed by my said wife for and during the term of her natural wife. After the decease of my said wife I give, bequeath and devise my said estate, personal and real to the hereinafter mentioned persons, viz: to my children of my first wife, namely 1. Louisa, my daughter, now wife of William Vredenburg residing in Charlotte town of Greece the sum of fifty dollars. 2. to John, a son, now residing in Grand Rapid, Michigan, the sum of one hundred dollars 3. to Ernst, a son now residing in Chicago, the sum of one hundred dollars. 4&5 to my 2 other daughthers, Fredericka and Julia residing in Chicago the sum of one hundred dollars each. The balance of my estate after paying off the above legacies, I give, bequeath and devise to my four children, whom I have by my said wife Mary, namely: Helmuth Krapp, Caroline, Theresia and Dora Krapp to be equally divided among them. My other two children by my former wife, named Gustav and Fritz Krapp shall not receive anything of my said estate for the reason as they respectively have already received of me more than the share of each of the other children of my first wife amounts to. The above bequest to my said wife is in lieu of her right of dower and her third and her rights in and to my said estate. I hereby appoint my friend Charles Schlocttmann of the city of Rochester sole executor of this my last Will and Testament granting him power and authority to sell and dispose after the decease of my said wife of my said estate personal and real and from the proceeds of such sale to pay off the above legacies and make proper distribution and generally honestly executed the trust hereby created to the best interests and advantage of all interested by this will. Henry Wehrung and Joseph Rau, being first duly sworn in open Court, each for himself doth depose and say, that he is a subscribing witness to the last Will and Testament of Helmuth Krapp late of the City of Rochester, in the County of Monroe and State of New York, deceased. And these deponents do further say, that the said Helmuth Krapp deceased, did, in the presence of each of these deponents, subscribe his name at the end of the instrument in writing, which is now shown to these deponents, and which purports to be the last Will and Testament of the said deceased, and which bears date on the twenty seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and Eighty Five. That the said deceased died on or about the sixth day of April 1885 at the City of Rochester aforesaid, as deponents are informed and believe. That the said deceased did, at the time of subscribing his name to the said instrument as aforesaid, declare the same to be his last Will and Testament; and these deponents did thereupon subscribe their own respective names at the end of said instrument, as attesting witnesses to the execution thereof, each at the request of the said deceased, and in his presences, and the presence of each other. That the said deceased, at the time of so subscribing his name to said instrument as aforesaid, and publishing said instrument as aforesaid, was of full age, and a citizen of the United States; that he appeared to be, and the deponents believe he was of sound mind, memory and understanding, and not under any restraint, and as deponents verily believe in all respects competent to devise real estate; that each of these deponents saw the other sign his name to the said instrument, in the presence of said deceased. Adlington, Surrogate of Monroe County State of New York County of Monroe Surrogate's Office I hereby Certify that the annexed instrument, being the Last Will and Testament of Helmuth Krapp late of the City of Rochester in the Country of Monroe and State of New York, deceased, has, upon due proof, been this day admitted to probate by the Surrogate's Court, as a will valid to pass real and personal property; which said Last Will and Testament, and the proofs and examinations taken thereon, are recorded in the office of the Surrogate of said last mentioned County. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Surrogate's Court at Rochester, in said County, this 12th day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and eighty five.
