Second. - I give and bequeath my bed and bedstead with one covering of linen to Mrs. Reynolds (my daughter). 3rd I give and bequeath the rest & residue of my household goods to my daughter Caroline, I also give my said daughter Caroline one fourth part of my money deposited in Bank in consideration of the services rendered to me. 4th I give and bequeath to my said daughter Mrs. Reynolds the other three fourth parts of my money in Bank for the care and support of my invalid son. Should she be unable to assume such care and support of said invalid son, then the three fourths of such money are to be paid to who assumes such care and support. I hereby authorize my executor to pay to the person who assumes such care and support of my invalid son the full amount of the money at the time of assuming such duty for the said son, provided such person will give Bond for the faithful performance of such duty. Lastly, I hereby appoint Father Eisler, at present stationed at Caledonia, executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name the 23rd day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred ninety seven. Regina Berle We, whose names are hereto subscribed, Do Certify, that Regina Berle the testator, subscribed her name to this instrument in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time, in our presence and hearing, declared the same to be her last Will and Testament, and requested us, and each of us, to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof, which we hereby do in the presence of the testator and of each other, on the day of the date of the said Will, and write opposite our names our respective places of residence. Dennis J. Curran and Ira Randall being first duly sworn in open Court, each for himself doth depose and say, that he is a subscribing witness to the last Will and Testament of Regina Berle, late of the town of Riga, in the County of Monroe and State of New York, deceased. And these deponents do further say that the said Regina Berle deceased, did, in the presence of each of these deponents, subscribe her name at the end of the instrument in writing, which is now here shown to the deponents, and which purports to be the last Will and Testament of the said deceased, and which bears date on the twenty-third day of October one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven. That the said deceased died on or about the 3rd day of November 1898, at Riga aforesaid, as deponents are informed and believe. That said deceased did, at the time of subscribing her name to the said instrument as aforesaid, declare the same to be her last Will and Testament; and these deponents did thereupon subscribe their own respective names, at the end of said instrument, as attesting witnesses to the execution thereof, each at the request of said deceased, and in her presence and the presence of each other. That the said deceased, at the time of so subscribing her name to said instrument as aforesaid, and publishing said instrument as aforesaid, was of full age, and a citizen of the United States; that she appeared to be, and deponents believe she was, of sound mind, memory, and understanding, and not under any restraint, and as deponents verily believe, in all respects competent to devise real estate; that each of these deponents saw the other sign his name to this said instrument, in the presence of said deceased. Surrogate's Office I hereby certify, That the annexed instrument, being the last Will and Testament of Regina Berle late of the Village of Churchville in the County of Monroe and State of New York, deceased, has upon due proof, been this day admitted to probate by the Surrogate’s Court of said County of Monroe, as a will valid to pass real and personal property; which said last Will and Testament, and the proofs and examinations taken thereon, are recorded in the office of the Surrogate of the last-mentioned County. In Testimony Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Surrogate's Court, at Rochester, in said County, this 1st day of February in the year one thousand, eight hundred and ninety-nine. It appearing upon the proofs duly taken in respect to the Last Will and Testament of Regina Berle, late of the Village of Churchville in the County of Monroe and State of New York, deceased, that the said Will was duly executed and that the said Regina Berle at the time she executed the same, was in all respects competent to devise real estate and not under restraint, the said last Will and Testament and the proofs and examinations are hereby recorded, signed, and certified by me, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure, this 1st day of February A.D. 1899. Father Eisler, executor, is referred to in Mrs. Berle's obituary as "a kinsman." No further information on their relationship is currently available.
