All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: October 23, 2004 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 4.3 Kb ************************************************ Lot # 45 in Springfield Patent Written: July 4 1789 Recorded: November 11 1789 This Indenture made this fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and eighty nine between William Stancil (sic) of the County of Montgomery Farmer, and George Dodge of the same County and State aforesaid Farmer of the other part, Witnesseth that the said William Stancil (sic) for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred pounds current money of New York to him in hand paid by the said George Dodge at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and confess, Have given granted bargained sold aliened remised released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell aliene remise reliese (sic) & confirm unto him the said George Dodge, in his actual possession now being by virtue of a bargain and sale to him thereof made for one whole year by Indenture bearing date the day next before the date of this presents and by force of the Law for transferring uses into possession and to his heirs and assigns forever; All that certain Lot piece or parcel of Land situate lying & being in the patent of Springfield in the County of Montgomery known by the name of Lot No. forty five in said patent beginning at the South- West corner at a Stake & Stones, running North thirty degrees East fourteen Chains and fifty Links to a Stake & Stones, thence North sixty degrees West one hundred & thirty three Chains and forty Links to a Stake & Stones thence South thirty degrees West fourteen Chains fifty Links to a Stake & Stones, thence South sixty degrees East one hundred and thirty three Chains and forty Links to the place of beginning and contains two hundred acres with an Allowance for Roads, together with all the profits & singular commodities benefits privileges & advantages to the said premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revertion & revertions, remainder & remainders, rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof, & also all the estate Right, title Interest property possession, claim and demand of the said Wm Stancel (sic) of in and to the same and any part thereof , To have and to hold the said herein demised premises with all the Appurtenances unto the said George Dodge his heirs and assigns forever; And the said Wm Stancel (sic) for himself his heirs, Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant promise and agree to & with the s.d George Dodge his heirs and Assigns, that he the s.d Wm Stancil (sic) and his Heirs the said herein before recited promise to the s.d George Dodge and to his Heirs and Assigns shall warrant and defend forever against the claim or claims of any person or persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the party of the first part hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year first above writen (sic). William Stensell Sealed & delivered in the presence of Eli Parsons, Chris. P. Yates. Be it remembered that on the eight (sic) day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine personally appeared before me Jacob G. Klock one of the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas for the County of Montgomery, Chris. P. Yates and made oath and saith (sic) that he saw William Stensell the within Grantor sign seal and deliver the within written Instrument as his voluntary Act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, and that Eli Parsons & himself hath subscribed their Names thereto as witness and I have examined the same and find no material interlination (sic) erazure (sic) or obliterations therein to allow the same to be recorded.
