Court House Montgomery County Will Book Vol. 1 page 72 Written: May 28 1791 Recorded: May 28 1792 In the name of God amen, I Coonrad Antis of Currytown, County of Montgomery & State of New York, being of perfect sound mind memory, blessed be God, tho weak in body do make and ordain in this my last will and testament, in manner and form following. Impuinis (?) I most humbly bequeath my soul to God my maker beseeching his most gracious acceptance of it. I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its resurrection at the last day, as for my burial I desire it to be without pomp or state at the discretion of my Wife and my Executor herein after named, who will I doubt not manage it with all requisite prudence; as to my worldly estate I will and positively order that all my debts be paid. ITEM I give to my Dearest Loving Wife for term of life, all my estate Real & personal without the least exception. And after her death to my woll (?) Beloved nephew Coanrad Antis, being the eldest Son of my youngest Brother and to his heirs and assigns forever with a full hope that he will continue to live with his aunt and (repeated) assist her in her old age please God to spare him. And I do hereby appoint and constitute my dear and loving Wife and William Carrall Junr. Executrix and Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, and I do hereby disannul and disallow (a word seems to be erased here) of every other former Will and Testament, Ratifying & allowing this to be my Will and Testament, IN Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this twenty eight day of may In the year of our Lord 1791. Note the word hope (was underlined under the 18th line before the execution hereof ###### Signed, sealed & delivered} I (n) presence of us ######} His His John X Antis Coanrad X Antis {L.S.} mark mark His Ruloff X Johnson Mark Abraham Gardenear Montgomery } County~~~~~} LS Be it remembered that on the twenty eight day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety two personally came and appeared before me Josiah Crane Surrogate of the said County John Antis of Mohawk Town and County aforesaid who, being duly sworn on his oath, declared that he did see Conrad Antis sign and seal the within written instrument purporting to be the will of the said Conrad Antis bearing date of the twenty eight day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety one and heard him publish and declare the same as and for his last and testament, that at the time thereof, the said Conrad Antis was, of sound disposing mind memory to the best of and belief of him the said Deponent and his name subscribed thereto is of his own proper hand writing, which he subscribed as witness to the same in the testator's presence and that he saw Ruloff Johnson and Abraham Gardenear the other witnesses to the said will subscribe their names as witnesses thereto in the testator's presence. Of the within will of the said Conrad Antis and duly sworn to the time performance and execution of the said will by taking the oat of Executor as by law appointed. Josiah Crane Surrogate Additional Comments: Conrad Antis is a son of Johann Conrad & Aegie (Cromwell) Antis. His "youngest brother" referred to here is Johannes born 1745. Other brothers were William, Stephen, possibly Jacob sr.
