John was married to Ida/Eyda Bennet. John was born September 30, 1755, and died October 13, 1834-Flat Creek, now Randall, Montgomery County, New York. He is my 4th great uncle. Will dated October 8, 1834 Record of the will and proofs thereof as a will of the Real estate of John Lenardson deceased. In the name of God Amen, I, John Lenardson of the town of Root in the County of Montgomery and State of New York being weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding (blessed be God for the same and the activity of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end that I may be better prepared to leave this transitory life when ever it shall please God to call one hence do) therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in a manner and form following, that is to say- First and principally, I commend my soul unto the hands of Almighty God my creator, preserver and bountiful benefactor, hoping for remission[?] of all my sins and to enjoy unrelenting happiness in the heavenly Kingdom though Jesus Christ my redeemer, and my body I recommend to the earth from whence it came, to be buried in a decent like manner nothing doubting but at the grand resurrection day I shall receive the same again by the Almighty power of God and trusting such world of estates and goods, whereof I am possessed, I give devise and dispose of the same as follows. First it is my Wife, and do hereby order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and discharged by my executors hereinafter written mentioned out of my estate. 2- I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Eyda Lenardson all my real estate to have and to hold the same as long as she shall remain my widow or during her natural life. And my personal property I make her sold rights to dispose of that as she thinks proper. 3- I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Nancy wife of Peter Van Evra one hundred and fifteen acres of land in the southern extremity of the lands and tenants I own and possess now in the possession of her husband Peter Van Evra to have and to hold the said one hundred and fifteen acres with tenants thereunto belonging (after the decease of my said wife Eyda then unto my said daughter Nancy unto her and to her heirs and assign forever. All the remainder and residue of my real estate (not heretofore bequeathed) whosoever the same may be, together with all my debt vouchers and papers belonging to or concerning the premises, with the apprentices thereunto belonging I give devise And bequeath the same unto my son Robert Stanhouse Lenardson his heirs and assigns to have and to hold the said residue of my real estate unto my said son Robert his heirs and assigns forever. And lastly I do hereby nominate - - - - - - - [written so small it cannot be read] and appoint said son Robert Stanhouse Lenardson and my trusty friend John Lenardson Juneor executors and Eyda Lenardson my wife Executrix of this my last will and testament in trust for the interests and purpose herein contained, devising them to see the same performed, accordingly truly revoking all former and other wills and testaments by me made, allowing and declaring this only to be my last will and testament. In writing whereof I the said John Lenardson have hereunto set my hand and seal this eight day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four.
