Coroner Collin yesterday held an inquest on the body of John Sheridan, who was found drowned at the foot of Charles street, North river. How the deceased got overboard did not appear, but it is supposed to have been accidental. He was fifty years of age, and a native of Ireland. Deceased has left a widow, who lives at 205 West Thirty-seventh street. Fatal Burning Casualty. Mary Jane Myers, a little girl four and a half years of age, whose parents reside at 102 Cedar street, died yesterday morning from the effects of burns received on Friday last, in consequence of her clothes taking fire from a furnace in the rear yard. Coroner Collin held an inquest and the jury rendered a verdict in accordance with the foregoing facts.
