DIED.

BROUGH - ON Saturday, June 24, William Brough, in the 47th year of his age. 
The funeral will take place this (Monday) afternoon, at half-past two o'clock,
from the Methodist church on Greene stret, between Broome and Spring.  Friends
are invited to attend.

BLEASE - In Jersey City, on Sunday morning, June 25, Alfred W. Blease, in the
56th year of his age.  The funeral will take place this (Monday) afternoon, at
half-past one o'clock.

BYRNES - On Sunday, June 25, after a lingering illness, Mary Byrnes, aged 33
years.  The friends and acquainances of the family are respectfully invited to
attend the funeral, from her late residence, 28 Furman street, Brooklyn, on
Tuesday aafternoon, at half-past two o'clock.  Her remains will be interred in
the Cemetery of the Holy Cross, Flatbush.

BARKER - In Jersey City, N.J., on Saturday evening, June 24, Mary, daughter of
John B. and Jane Barker, in the 18th year of her age.  the relatives and
friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on
Tuesday morning, at eleven o'clock, from the residence of her parents, No. 58
Sussex street, Jersey City.  The remains will be taken to Armenia, Dutchess
county, for interment.

CUMMINGS - On Sunday, June 25, Rebecca, widow of Charles F. Cummings, in the
84th year of her age.  Funeral this (Monday) afternoon, at three o'clock, from
the residence of her son, Thomas S., at 105 East Thirty-sixth street.  Friends
of the family are respectfully invited.

COLT - In this city, on Saturday, June 24, James C. Colt, aged 49 years.  The
relatives and friends are respectfully invited to atten d the funeral services
at St. Thomas' church corner of Broadway and Huouston street, this (Monday)
morning at ten o'clock.

COLGAN - On Saturday, June 24, Annie Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas and
Elizabeth A. Colgan, aged 1 year, 5 months and 24 days.  Relatives and friends
are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of her
parents, No. 46 Oxford street, near Park avenue, Brooklyn, this (Monday)
afternoon, at half-past two o'clock.

CURRY - On Sunday morning, June 25, Frank Allen, only child of Harrison and
Susan Curry, aged 1 year, 4 months and 8 days.  Relatives and friends are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon, at
half-past two o'clock, from the residence of his parents, 204 East
Thirty-third street.

CRONIN - On Saturday morning, June 24, aafter a brief illness, John B. Cronin,
of this city.  Funeral particulars in the evening and to-morrow's papers.

DUFFY - The friends of Frederick A. Mitchell are invited to attend the funeral
of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Duffy, from 325 East Tenth street, at two
o'clock this (Monday) afternoon.  The remains will be interred in Calvary
Cemetery.

FOX - On Thursday evening, June 22, of disease of the heart, Edward Fox, in
the 58th year of his age.  Relatives and friends of the family, and of his
son-in-law, John W. Irving, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral,
this (Monday) morning, at half-past nine o'clock, from his late residence, 363
West Twenty-third street, and thence to St. Peter's church, Barclay street,
where a solemn requiem mass well be celebrated.

FRANKLIN - On Sunday morning, June 25, George H. Franklin.  Relatives and
friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from his late
residence 332 Second avenue, on Tuesday afternoon, at three o'clock.

FLOOD - On Sunday, June 25, Mary Flood, of the parish of Killon, county
Longford, Ireland, in the 30th year of her age.  The funeral will take place
from her late residence, 617 West Forty-seventh street, below Eleventh avenue,
on Tuesday afternoon, at half-past two o'clock precisely.

GILLESPIE - At Fairmount, West Farm, on Saturday, June 24, Anna Gillespie,
wife of David Gillespie, aged 38 years.  The relatives and friends are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from her late residence, this
(Monday) morning, at nine o'clock.  The remains will arrive at Twenty-sixth
street depot, N.Y., at twelve o'clock, thence to the Evergreens Cemetery for
interment.

GARLICHS - In Brooklyn, on Saturday evening, June 24, Rev. Hermann Garlichs,
pastor of the German Evangelical church, in the 59th year of his age.  The
members of his congregation and all the friends of the family are respectfully
invited to attend the funeral, from his late church, in Schermerhorn street,
near Court street, on Tuesday afternoon, at three o'clock.  Western papers

HUNT - In Brooklyn, on Saturday, June 24, of disease of the heart, Eliza
McLeod, daughter of Benjamin T. and Eliza McL. Hunt.  Relatives and friends of
the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence
of her parents, 78 Willoughby street, this (Monday) afternoon, at 4 o'clock.

HERRING - On Saturday, June 24, Edward Ingoldsby, infant son of William A. and
Elizabeth A. Herring, aged 8 months.  The funeral will take place from the
residence of the parents, No. 225 West Fiftieth street, this (Monday) morning,
at ten o'clock.

HEINS - At Totowa, N.J., on Friday evening, June 23, after long and severe
suffering, Sarah P., wife of William F. Heins.  Her remains will be taken to
Greenwood Cmetery, and will arrive at foot of Chambers street, New York, this
(Monday) afternoon, at one o'clock, where friends are invited to attend

HUNT - On Saturday evening, June 24, John Hunt, aged 69 years, a native of
Frankfort, Kings county, Ireland.  The friends and relatives of the family,
and of his brother-in-law, Thomas Loury, are respectfully invited to attend
the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon, at half-past two o'clock, from his late
residence, Third avenue, between Fifty-ninth and Sixtieth streets.  His
remains will be interred in Calvary Cemetery.

HALM - After a short illness, Michael Halm, aged 47 years and 3 months.  The
funeral will take place this (Monday) afternoon at two o'clock, from 260 West
Houston street.  The friends and relatives, also the brethren of Haromny
Lodge, No. 199, F. and A.M., and the Independent Butchers' Guard, are
respectfully invited to attend.

HELMSEN - On Sunday, June 25, Frantz Helmsen, aged 77 years.  The relatives
and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on
Tuesday afternoon, at two o'clock, from his late residence, No 22 Forsyth
street.

KLEINE - On Saturday, June 24, Conrad Kleine, aged 36 years.  His relatives
and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday)
afternoon, at half-past one o'clock, from his late residence, No. 11 Pell
street .  The members of Company G, Fifth regiment, are requested to assemble
at the residence of Captain C.D. Reis, at one o'clock precisely, in citizen's

KENWORTHY - On Sunday morning, June 25, at a quarter past eleven o'clock, Mary
Kenworthy, widow of Thos. Kenworthy, of Philadelphia, aged 62 years and 6
months.  The friends of the family, and those of her son, Thos. C. Kenworthy, 
are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, at the residence of her son,
No. 200 Sixth avenue, on Tuesday afternoon, at half-past one o'clock.  The
remains will be taken to Mount Moriah Cemetery, Philadelphia, for interment.

LEARY - On Saturday, June 24, suddenly, Mary Anne, wife of James Leary, of
this city.  The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the
funeral, from 14 East Sixteenth street, on Tuesday afternoon, at half-past two
o' clock.

MACKINS - On Sunday, June 25, at 337 First avenue, William J., the beloved son
of James and Bridget Mackins, aged 9 months and 14 days.
Notice of the funeral will be given in Tuesday's Herald.

MYERS - On Sunday, June 25, Mary Jane Myers, aged 4 years, 5 months and 9
days, duaghter of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Myers.  The friends of the family,
and those of her uncles, John, James, Michael and Thomas Curley, are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon, at two
o'clock precisely, from her late residence, No. 102 Cedar street.

O'REILLY - On Saturday, June 24, at the residence of his son-in-law, Wm. E.
Joyce, 233 Sixth avenue, William O' Reilly, aged 82 years.  The funeral will
take place from St. Francis Xavier's church on Tuesday morning, at nine
o'clock.  The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

ODDIE - In Brooklyn, on Saturday morning, June 24, of inflammation of the
brain, Algernon S.J., youngest son of Orville and Victoria Oddie, aged 3
years.  The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the
funeral, from the residence of his father, 44 First place, this (Monday)
afternoon at 4 o'clock.

OVERBAUGH - On SAturday, June 24, Mary A. wife of A.W. Overbaugh, after a
lingering illness, in the 28th year of her age.  The relatives and friends are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday) morning at eleven
o'clock, from her late residence, 262 West Thirty-third street.  Kingston,

POWERS - On Sunday, June 25, Morris Powers, beloved son of John and Allis
Powers, aged 6 years and 5 months.  
O Morris, dear, we cannot rest,
When we do think of thee;
IN the happy days of childhood
You parted father and me.
But now those days have all gone by,
And we are here alone; 
Oh, how we wish that thou wert nigh,
To cheer our lonesome home.

PRENTISS - At Armory Square Hospital, Washington, D.C., on Saturday morning,
June 24, William Scholley Prentiss, youngest son of the late John Prentiss, of
Baltimore, Maryland, aged 26 years and 26 days.  The relatives and friends of
the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence
of his brother, T. Melville Prentiss, 35 Livingston street, Brooklyn, L.I., on

REDMOND - On Sunday, June 25, Emma Elizabeth, daughter of William J. and Sarah
Ann Redmond, aged 6 months.  The funeral will take place from the residence of
her parents, 104 Eldridge street, this (Monday) afternon, at two o'clock.

STOKES - On Friday evening, June 23, at his residence, No. 74 Jane street,
James C. Stokes, son of the late James Stokes, aged 27 years.  The relatives
and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from
St. Thomas' church, this (Monday) afternoon, at three o'clock, without further
invitation.

SCHOLES - On Saturday, June 24, of congestion of the lungs, Olivia T., relict
of the late Wm. Scholes.  The relatives and friends of the family are
respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon, at
half-past one o'clock, from No 11 Sixth avenue.  Her remains will be interred
in Greenwood Cemetery.

TRAINOR - On Saturday, June 24, Bridget Trainor, a native of the parish of
Tutacarbet, county Monaghan, Ireland, in the 74th year of her age.  The
relatives and friends of the family , and also those of her son-in-law,
Patrick Keare, are requested to attend the funeral, this (Monday) afternoon,
at half-past one o'clock, from the residence of her son-in-law, Patrick Keare,
184 East Thirty-fifth street.

WRAXALL - Sir Lascelles Wraxall.  The death of the English writer, Sir
Frederick Charles Wraxall, is announced.  He served in the Turkish Contingent
during the Crimean war.  He is, however, better known by his contributions to
the light and periodical literature of the day , the bulk of which he has
swelled by the publication of works on a vast variety of subjects, as well as
by numerous translations from the French and German.  He had recently taken up
his abode at Vienna, where he was speedily attacked by illness, which
terminated fatally.  He was only 37 years of age.

PETTY - Lucinda Petty died at Patchogue, Long Island, on the 18th inst., at
the great age of 104 years.  Up to a short time before her decease she
retained possession of all her faculties in a remarkable degree.

RANDLES - George Randles, a citizen of Conemaugh township, Indiana county,
died on the 11th inst., at the advanced age of 102 years.  For a number of
years previous to his death he was in charge of the Overseers of the Poor of
Conemaugh township, and for the last seven years was confined to his bed.
