WRAXALL - Sir Lascelles Wraxall. The death of the English writer, Sir Frederick Charles Wraxall, is announced. He served in the Turkish Contingent during the Crimean war. He is, however, better known by his contributions to the light and periodical literature of the day , the bulk of which he has swelled by the publication of works on a vast variety of subjects, as well as by numerous translations from the French and German. He had recently taken up his abode at Vienna, where he was speedily attacked by illness, which terminated fatally. He was only 37 years of age. PETTY - Lucinda Petty died at Patchogue, Long Island, on the 18th inst., at the great age of 104 years. Up to a short time before her decease she retained possession of all her faculties in a remarkable degree. RANDLES - George Randles, a citizen of Conemaugh township, Indiana county, died on the 11th inst., at the advanced age of 102 years. For a number of years previous to his death he was in charge of the Overseers of the Poor of Conemaugh township, and for the last seven years was confined to his bed.
