BOYLE-Sheila, 84, of Garden City, NY on August 3, 2004. Beloved daughter of
Catherine and Arthur Fox, sister of Helen Haden, Kate Hart, and Jack Fox.
Beloved wife of William J. Boyle. Deeply loved mother of Bill, Arthur,
Virginia, Joseph, John, Therese, Tim, and Patricia. Beloved grandmother of
sixteen. Great athlete, Captain of the Blue Team at Baldwin High School.
Varsity letters in field hockey, basketball, and tennis. Born October 13,
1919. Graduated Baldwin High School 1937. She was a woman full of love,
patience, kindness, and gentleness. Her inner loveliness matched her great
physical beauty. She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren
who will always cherish her memory in their hearts and ever be inspired by the
gracefulness and the goodness of her life.

CARVER-R. David, 70, of Riverdale, NY, died August 3, 2004. Survived by his
loving wife Rosemarie, his sons Alexander and Andrew, his daughter Christina
Cahill, his son-in-law Brendan Cahill, and his four grandchildren. Also
surviving are his beloved step-father, Cornelius Hurlbut, his sister Gay, his
brother Douglass, nephews and nieces. Funeral 10AM, August 6 at Christ Church
Riverdale, 5030 Henry Hudson Pkwy and W 252 St. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, NJ.

Silverman, Harriet Schacter   
SILVERMAN-Harriet Schacter, 78, of Rye Brook, N.Y., died on August 3, 2004 of
cancer. Beloved wife of Harry, widow of the late Philip, mother of Daniel,
Kenneth and Jane Schacter, grandmother of Sarah, Brian, Hannah, Emily, Gabriel
and Zoe, sister of Sheldon Flanzig and good friend of many. Retired after 20
dedicated years of service as a reading teacher at Yonkers P.S. 28, Harriet
was an expert bridge player, having achieved the rank of Silver Life Master.
She loved opera, reading, Broadway shows and golf. Most of all, she loved and
was completely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Harriet was always
full of life and energy and she will be sorely missed. Services today at 10AM
at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Ave., White Plains, N.Y., 914949-0566,
followed by interment at Sharon Gardens, Valhalla, N.Y. In lieu of flowers,
please make memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association.
