An attorney and retired partner with Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton and Garrison, died on Monday, June 14, 2004 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. The cause was a heart attack. He was 74 and lived in Larchmont, NY. A former president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a Division director of the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, he was a past Chairman of the Real Property Division of the International Bar Association. He was a governor of the Anglo-American Real Property Institute and a former Chairman of the Real Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. He was also a former member of the board of directors for the Chicago Title Insurance companies. A graduate of Harvard University and Columbia Law School, in recent years he taught a course on Real Estate Transactions at the law school. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vivienne, daughters, Melissa and Amanda, son-inlaw John and grandchildren, Samantha and Michael. Funeral services will be held privately.
