Kalikoff, Stanley
KALIKOFF Stanley. Died peacefully on August 31, 2004, at age 80, of
Parkinson's Disease. Beloved husband of the late Elaine Bierman Kalikoff,
father of Beth and Hedy, grandfather of Sylvie, Eva and Natalie, brother of
the late Annette Kalikoff Picard, uncle to Lawrence, David and Robert Picard,
brother-in-law to Beverly Wein and Kurt Picard, father-in-law to Ray
Studebaker and Will Milberg, dear cousin and friend to so many. His sweet and
loving presence, his modesty, kindness and generosity will be terribly missed.
Memorial service to be held Tuesday, September 7, 2004, 10 A.M. Temple Beth
Shalom, 740 Broadway, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Donations in his memory to any

Koplewicz, Roma   
KOPLEWICZ Roma. The board and faculty of the NYU Child Study Center mourn the
loss of Roma Koplewicz, devoted wife, partner and friend of Joseph (Joe)
Koplewicz, beloved mother of Edith, Linda and Harold S. Koplewicz, Director,
loving grandmother to Joshua, Adam, Sam and Alex. After surviving the
Holocaust, Roma enjoyed a long and joyous marriage to Joe and together they
created a family that she cared for dearly. Roma was passionate about her work
as a social worker and was a loving and steadfast friend to many. Our thoughts
and prayers are with Dr. Koplewicz and his family. Brooke Garber Neidich

Lipka, Morris   
LIPKA-Morris. On September 1 at 96 years of age in Tamarac, FL. Formerly of
White Plains. Husband of the late Genesse Levine Lipka and the late Sara Weiss
Lipka. Survived by his sons, Leonard of Alexandria, VA, Kenneth of Boca Raton,
FL, and Robert of Weston, CT. Affectionately known as ``Papa'' to nine
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Born in Pultusk, Poland in 1908,
Morris Lipka came to the United States in 1920. He joined Local 28 of the
Sheet Metal Workers Union in 1929 and founded General Sheet Metal Works in
1943. He was vice president of the Sheet Metal Workers Owners Association for
many years and earned the admiration and respect of his industry peers and
business associates. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 3,
at Sharon Gardens, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, New York. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Manes, Esther (Chesler)   
MANES Esther (Chesler). On August 29, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Mathew.
Cherished sister of Sarah and the late David. Adored mother of Marthe (Bob),
Cathy (Rob) and Laurie, and grandmother of Darcy (Jonathan), Lindy, Sarah

Sullivan, Patrick   
SULLIVAN Patrick. (''Big Paddy'') of Riverdale died August 31st after a short
illness at the age of 75. Retired NY Times Paper Handlers Local #1 and former
Local 18a Laborer. Native of Rusheen, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Beloved
husband of the late Mary (nee Regan). Loving father of Patrick, Margaret,
Noreen (John) Carty and the late Timmy. Dear brother of Mary, Peggy, Kathleen
(Ireland) and the late Timmy, John and James. Cherished friend to many. Big
Paddy was a 47 year member of the Kerrymans' P&B Association, former 40-year
resident of Inwood and avid Gaelic Football Fan. Reposing Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM
at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx. Mass of
Christian Burial Friday 9:45AM at St. Margaret of Cortona Church. Interment
Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the White Plains
Hospital or Calvary Hospice would be deeply appreciated.
