I Jacob Regnier of Lincolnis Inne in the Realm of England, Barrister at Law, now resident of the City of New York in America, being very sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect and dieposeing memory (by God’s Blessing) do make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills heretofore made in manner following Imprionis I recommend my Soul to God Almighty my great Creator and my body to the Earth to be buried in such decent manner as my Executrix hereafter named shall think fit. Item as to my worldly Estate after my debts and legacys hereafter mentioned are fully paid, I give and devise all my real and personal estate whatsoever whether in America, Great Britian or else where which I now or at the time of my decease shall be seized or possessed of to my loving wife Elizabeth Regnier, her heirs and assignes for ever on condition she, my said executrix, do pay unto my dear brother Daniel Regnier, if he shall be alive, one hundred pounds Sterling money of England to be paid out of my said estate and I nominate and appoint my said dearest wife Elizabeth my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. Fully impowering her to act and do as she pleases towards the payment of my Debts if any shall appear so the same be wholly discharged and not doubting but as to such memorandum and directions as I have given her she will perfectly perform the same. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of Novemer in the first year of the Reign of our Soverign Lord King George over Great Britian to and in the year of our Lord 1714. Captain General and Governor in Chief of the Provinces of New York, New Jersey and Territories therein in America and Vice-Admiral of the same, to all to whom these presents shall come or may concern, Greetings, know ye that the Twentieth day of November before Henry Wileman, Gent. being by me there by unto authorize and appoint the last Will and Testament of Jacob Regnier was proved and now approved and allowed by me having while he lived and at the time of his death, Goods, Chattels and Credits in diverse places within this province by means whereof the full disposition of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased and the granting administration of them also the hearing of account, calculation or reckoning and the final discharge and dismission from the same unto me solely and not unto any other inferior Judge are manyfestly know to belong and the administration of all and singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased and his last Will and Testament in any manner of ways concerning was granted unto Elizabeth Regnier, the Executrix in the said last Will and Testamnet named chiefly of well and truly administring the same and of making a true and perfect inventory of all and Singular the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased and exibiting the same into the Registry of the Court in the Secretarys office of the said Province of New York at or before the Twentieth day of May next ensueing and of rendering a just and true account calculation or reckoning when thereunto required.
