NY Will Book Vol. 9 page 359 In the name of God Amen This twenty fourth day of January one thousand seven hundred and sixteen, I Niesie Vinge of the City of New York, widow of John Vinge deceased, being in health of body but of good and perfect memory (thanks be to Almighty God for the same) do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First, I bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Heavenly Father by whom of his meer [sic mere] Grace I trust to be saved through the Death of my Saviour Jesus Christ my body in hopes of a Joyful Resurrection, I commit to the earth to be buried in such Christian and Decent manner as to my Executor hereafter named shall be thought fit and convenient and that after my Debts and Funeral charges first discharged, I give and bequeath unto John Van Pelt the son of my daughter Tiatie procedured by her present husband Hendrick Van Pelt the sum of six shillings Currant Money of New York. Secondly, I give and Bequeath unto my grandson Johannis Poel the son of my Daughter Trientie [sic] procured by her her first husband John Poel deceased the sum of One Hundred pounds Currant Money of New York in Consideration of a larger sum which I Declare to have already before the Date of this my Last Will and Testament paid and secured in the hands of my Eldest Daughter Marritie Konigh, widow of Harmen Koningh all the rest and Remainder of my Estate none excepted I Give and Bequeath unto my said Grandson John Poel and my said Eldest Daughter Marritie Equally to be divided between them share and share alike without any preference and to their heirs and assigns forever Always provided that in case my Daughter Tiatie now wife of Hendrick Van Pelt then and in such case it is my will that my said Grandson Joel Poel his heirs Executors or Administertors shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto my Daughter Tiatie his mother the one half or moyety of whatever I have Bequeathed unto him by this my last Will and Testament and Lastly I do make ordain and appont my said Grandson Joel Poel and my Eldest Daughter Maritie Konigh Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills whatsoever by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. William Burnet, Esq. Captain General and Governor in Chief of the province of New York, New Jersey and Territories thereon Depending in America and Vice Admiral of the same &tc. To all to whom these presents shall come or may concern Greeting Know ye that at New York the Sixteenth Day of May Instant the last Will and Testament of Neisie Vinge was proved approved and allowed of by me having while she lived and at the time of her Death Goods Chattel and Credits in Diverse places within this province by means is hereof the full disposition of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said Deceased and the granting administration of them. Also the hearing of account calcuation or reckoning and the finall discharge and Dismission from the same unto me Soly and not unto any other Inferiour Judge or Manifestly known to belong and the Administration of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased and her Last Will and Testament was Granted unto John Poel Executor in the said Last Will and Testament Maritie Koningh having Renounced the same under her hand the other Executrix in the said Last Will and Testament named Chiefly of Well and Truly Administrating the same and of making a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased and Exhibitting the same into the Registry of the Prerogative Court of the Secretary's Office at or before the Sixteenth Day of November next ensueing and of Rendering a Just and true account when thereunto required. Bobin, Depty Secry Notes: Niesie Vinge is identified as Weiske Huijtes, 2nd wife of Jan Vinge who died in 1689. The children are from her 1st marriage, to Andries Andrieszen, Marritje and Tietje. Jan Vinge had 3 sons from 1st marriage. All died in infancy or childhood.
