E. L. YOST Bornm in New York State in 1870, Home in Lost Nation Since 1921. Funeral services for Mrs. E. L. Yost, who died at her home were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Union Presbyterian church in Lost Nation with Rev. B. J. Swede officiating. Mrs. Irena George Yost, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin George, was born May 29, 1870, at Lockport, New York. She was educated in the public schools and when a young girl was baptised into the Christian faith, becoming a member of the Baptist church. On Easter Sunday, 1924, she was united in marriage to Emmett Yost, and thereafter made her home in Lost Nation. Prior to her marriage she was a practical nurse in the East. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge and for many years taught in Sunday school. After an illness of four months she passed away on July 8, 1939. Left to mourn her loss are her husband and two daughters, Mildred Dibbile of Jamestown, New York and Bertha Peterson of Lakewood, New York; three grandsons and one great- grandson.
