All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.org/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.org/ny/nyfiles.htm Submitted Date: March 22, 2006 This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nyfiles/ File size: 5.0 Kb ************************************************ Source: sampubco.com Niagara co NY Volume 24, Page 559 Written: February 20, 1875 Recorded: November 7, 1881 Transcribed from SAMPUBCO copy by Robert Lakin "Niagara County Surrogate Court Last Will and Testament of William Clickner Deceased Be it remembered, That heretofore to wit On the 28th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eighteen hundred and eighty one, Mary Taylor the Executrix named in the Last Will and Testament of William Clickner late of the Town of Pendleton, the County of Niagara, deceased, appeared in open Court, before the Surrogate of the County of Niagara, and made application to have the said Last Will and Testament which relates to both Real and Personal Estate, proved; and on such application the said Surrogate did ascertain by satisfactory evidence who were the heirs-at-law and next of kin of said Testator and their respected residences, and said Surrogate did there upon issue a Citation in due form of law, directed to the heirs-at-law and next of kin of said deceased, by their respective names,stating their respective places of residence, requiring them to appear before said Surrogate, at his office in the City of Lockport, in said County, on the 7th day of November A.D., 1881 to attend the probate of said Will. And afterwards, to wit: on the 7th day of November A.D. 1881, satisfactory evidence by affidavit was produced and presented to said Surrogate, of the due service of said Citation in the mode prescribed by law, and on that day said petitioner appeared & it appearing that LaFayette Riddle, one of heirs-at-law & next of kin of said deceased is a minor who has been served with Citation and notice as required by law. Now on the application of Mary Taylor, the executrix of said Will, Volney Simson on his consenting thereto was appointed Special Guardian of said infant to appear for and take care of his interests in this matter, and said Special Guardian appearing and George H. Clickner, Edward E. Clickner, Daniel Clickner, Sylvia Brewer, Perelia Brewer, Martha A. Hill & Emeline H. Wood appearing by Hon. Frank Brindage their Attorney & Jacob M. Clickner & Harriet L. Burditt appearing in person and no one appearing to oppose the Probate of said Will, such proceedings were thereupon had in said Court, afterwards, that said Surrogate took said proofs of said Will, hereinafter set forth, upon this 7th day of November 1881, and he there upon adjudged the said Will to be a valid Will of Real and Personal Estate, and the proofs thereof to be sufficent, which said Last Will and Testament and proofs are as follows that is to say: In the name of God, Amen I, William Clickner of the Town of Pendleton, in the County of Niagara & State of New York, being of sound mind and memory and cosidering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do there fore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will & Testament that is to say: First: - After all my lawful debts and funeral expenses and expenses of Administration are paid, I give and bequeath all my personal property of every name, nature and description and wherever situate to my sons and daughters now living , their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, said property to be equally divided among my said sons and daughters. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint my daughter Mary Taylor, wife of Hiram Taylor of the Town of Pendleton in the County of Niagara, New York to be executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In witmess Whereof I have here unto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 20th day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.
