I, Lucinda Laylond of the town of Hartland County of Niagara and State of New York, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, that is to say: First. After all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, I give and bequeath to my Husband James Laylond the use during his natural life of all my personal property, also all my real estate which I may own at my decease. Second. After the death of my husband James Laylond, I hereby direct and order the Executor of this my last will and testament to Sell at public or private Sale all of the real estate which I may own at my decease and divide the money or proceeds of said sale of real estate as follows. Third. I hereby direct the executor of this my last will and testament to erect or cause to be erected at the grave of my husband and myself suitable grave stones and pay for said stones out of the money received from said sale of real estate. Fourth. The ballance residue and remainder of said money received from said sale of real estate shall be divided between the following named children and grand children. Rebecca J. Babcock, Jacob W. Laylond, Charlotte A. Bailey, Sarah L. Bailey, (Hiram M. Bailey, Nellie M. Love) are children of my deceased daughter Caroline M. Bailey, they shall thake their mothers share same as if she was living, that is they shall share and share alike. I mean my children shall all share and share alike in my property, and my two grand children afore named shall have their mothers share. Fifth. All my house hold goods, bed and furniture shall be equally divided as afore stated among my children and grand children. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint Gordon Rowe of the town of Hartland Niagara County N.Y. , to be executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Witness Whereof , I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the twenty-fifth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight- hundred and ninety. my Lucinda X Laylond (L. S.) mark The above written instrument was subscribed by the said Lucinda Laylond in our presence, and acknowledged by her to each of us; ad she at the same time declared the above instrument, so subscribed, to be her last Will and Testament; and we, at her request, have signed our names as witnesses hereto, in her presence and in the presence of each other, and written opposite our names our respective places of residence.
