The South Street Church was organized in 1852 by 80 members of the Bleecker St. Society. The Coke? or Colte? Memorial (Welsh Methodist Episcopal Church) was Organized July 1, 1849. *             Mr. Legg became pastor of Central Church in 1920, when its new name was adopted.  Succeeding pastors had been the late Dustin?
