Reid This Indenture, made the first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between Sheffield Kinyon and Polly his wife of the town of Fairfield county of Herkimer and state of New York of the first part and William Allen of the town of Remsen county of Oneida and state of New York of the second part, witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have granted bargained sold remised released aliened and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sale remise release alien and confirm unto the said party of the second part in his actual possession now being and to his heirs and assigns forever, all that certain piece or parcel of land situate and lying in Remsenburgh patent in the county of Oneida and state of New York know and distinguished in the subdivision of Lot No. 92 in said Patent by the east half of the north west quarter of said lot, bounded and butted as follows, beginning at a stake cornered standing at the north east corner of a piece of said lot belonging to Samuel Hawe Junr. And running from thence N. 73o E. along the north bounds of said lot eighteen chains to a stake and stones thence S. 17oE. along the west line of the north east quarter of said lot thirty two chains and twenty five links to a beach sapling cornered standing at the northeast corner of Nathaniel Rockwoods land, thence S. 73oW. along the north line of the said Rockwoods land eighteen chains to a stake and stones, thence N. 17oW. along the east line of the said Hawes land thirty two chains and twenty five links to the place of beginning containing fifty eight acres & eight rods of land. Together with all and singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents, issues and profits whereof and all the estate right, title, interest claim and demand whatsoever of the said party of the first part either in law or equity of in and to the above bargained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said piece or parcel of land hereby granted & conveyed to the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do covenant promise and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns the above bargained premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said part of the second part his heirs and assigns against all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part of the above mentioned and described premises will forever warrant and defend In witness whereof, the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day & year first above written. Sheffield Kinyon (L.S.) Polly Kinyon (L.S.) signed, sealed and delivered in presence of Varnum S. Kinyon, Varnum Maxson. On the 14th day of December 1818 before me Nathan Smith Junr. Judge of Herkimer Common Pleas came Sheffield Kenyon & Polly his wife both known to me and the said Sheffield acknowledged he executed the within deed and the said Polly being by me examined separate and apart from her husband acknowledged she executed the same freely without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.
