Recollects the names of no other officers other than above named. In December 1776 volunteered in Capt. Aldens's Company of Bridgewater of the militia in Col Hall's Regiment for a tour of 3 months and marched through Raynham, Taunton, Dighton, through Bristol, Rhode Island and were stationed there as a guard against the Briitish and served out the full term of three months and were discharged in March 1777. In the summer of 1777 was drafted at Bridgewater in Capt. John Ames Co. F. Did not receive a written discharge at either term of service. This deponent is very old and infirm and he cannot now state the name of any other officers than those above named, but he is confident that the term of his slervices are as above stated-and he cannot now state with more particularity the services in which he engaged.
