John Bethlehem
    Mr. John R. (Dutch) Bethlehem, 68 of 8 Middles Street, CLark Mills, past 
chief of the Clark Mills Fire Department, died Tuesday in Faxton Hospital.
   He was born in New York Mills, March 21, 1910, son of Robert and Gertrude 
Wayerink Bethlehem. He was educated in New York Mills schools. In Clark Mills 
MAy 10, 1941, he married Norah Coyne. The couple have always resided in Clark 
Mills.
   For many years he was employed at Marcy State Hospital. He served in the 
U.S. Army in WWII. He was a member of Westminister Prebyterian Church, Utica, 
the Clark Mills American Legion.
  Surviving besides his wife, are one daaughter, Mrs. James (Joan) SPellman of 
Clark Mills, two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Henrietta) Barard of 
Sarsota, Florida and Miss Marie Bethlehem of New Hartford.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 am from Owens Funeral Home, College 
Street, Clinton. Friends are invited and may cal Wednesday 7-9 and 2-4 and 7-
9. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro.
