John H. Hughes Dies
John H. Hughes of Lowell, aged 44 years, died this morning at the Rome 
Infirmary. He had been sick 10 days. Surviving are his wife and two daughters, 
Margaret and Mary; a sister, Jennie of New York Mills and three Brothers, Owen 
W. of upper Floyd Avenue, Hugh J of WHitesboro, and Walter C. of New York 
Mills. He was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Hughes, who for a number 
of years lived in Lee. He was born in Floyd Dec. 13, 1877 and was married in 
Rochester 14 years ago. The family moved to Lowell in 1910. He was a member of 
the Presbyterian Church and of the Verona Grange. The funeral will be held at 
the home in Lowell at 2 p.m. Monday.
