He was born in Wurtenburg and came to this country in 1855, locating in New London. Soon after he removed to Rome and was engaged in the hack business here for some time. He afterward worked in the Merchant Iron Mill. He was married to Miss Kate Krumbach of Wright Settlement of this city. The remains were brought to Rome and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Plus Schibel, 303 S. James St. (Burial was made in Rome Cemetery.)
