Madison street, at 10 pm Friday, aged 85 yrs. he deceased had been failing for some time on account of her advanced age, and an attack of pneumonia hastened the end. Mrs. Clapp came to this city from Potsdam 20 years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She leaves a step-daughter, Miss Martha Higgins of Detroit, Mich., and a brother residing in the east. Mrs. George J. Roth of this city and Miss Hattie Purdy of Lafayette, Ind., daughters of J. R. Purdy of this city, are granddaughters of the deceased. The funeral was held at 2 pm today. Interment was made in Rome Cemetery.
