Rome Sentinel September 28, 1899
Orin D. Collins of New London, died in the Utica State Hospital on Thursday in 
his 37th year. He was born in Higginsville and lived there and in New London 
nearly all his life. Before he became ill he followed boating on the canal. He 
had been in the hospital since last January. His wife died about three months 
ago. He leaves his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Collins of New London and two 
daughters.
