Rome Sentinel January 3, 1900
West Vienna - On Sunday night about 12 o'clock at his home about one mile east 
of Cleveland, Hiram Godfrey, a highly respected citizen of this town died, aged 
about 75 years. He leaves his wife, one son, two daughters and a large circle 
of friends and relatives to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband, a kind 
parent, a generous neighbor and an honest man.
