Rome Sentinel January 10, 1899
Mrs. Samuel F. Jewett, formerly Miss Virginia W. Clark, died at her home in 
Elgin, Ill. on Monday, aged 43 years. She was born in Illinois but about twenty-
one years ago came east and shortly afterward was married to Mr.Jewett. The two 
resided in Clark Mills about seen years and at the end of that time removed to 
Elgin, where they had since lived. She leaves her husband, a son and a brother, 
also one sister, Mrs. R. G. Young of Utica.
