Mr. Lord started in business in Troy in 1855 and came to Utica in 1861. The ceceased was vice president of the State Bottlers Association. He was of revolutionary stock, being a descendant of Charles Newton, who was a captain of a war vessel in the revolutionary way. He was 67 years of age. The deceased leaves his wife and five children, among them being William A. and Charles N. Lord of this city.
