Rome Sentinel January 3, 1899
Mrs. Anne Lynch, widow of Christopher Lynch, and an old and highly respected 
resident of this city, died at the home of her nephew, John L. Dowd, 105 East 
Whitesboro street at 9 o'clock Saturday night, aged 78 years. She had been ill 
about a week with grip, which developed into heart trouble. She was born in 
Ireland and came to this country in 1848 and had since lived in Rome. She was a 
member of St. Peter's Church and was well known in this city. She is survived 
by one brother, Luke Dowd of Rome, and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Brierton of Iowa 
City, Iowa.
